So favorable was the impression made that opponents of the Baptists could scarcely believe that these articles fairly represented their views. They elicited much favorable comment, but of course occasioned criticism also.

Its publication is intended to serve all those who can confess it from their hearts, for the glory of God and the benefit of His children.
